Information:

Hemp has been used by both humans and animals for centuries and is gaining popularity as a high-quality feed supplement for horses. There are many reasons for this.

Hemp seeds, also known as hemp nuts, are rich in valuable amino acids, easily digestible proteins, and essential trace elements and minerals. Hemp's ratio of omega 3 to omega 6 fatty acids is ideal for horses. Hemp seeds also contain a multitude of secondary plant substances and vitamins, especially Vitamin E.

Hemp delivers many benefits to a horse's overall health.

It can strengthen the immune system and help regulate appetite. It has antioxidant properties and can ease inflammations. Hemp used as feed delivers benefits to muscle development, cardiovascular problems, nerve ailments, and muscle tension. Hemp also helps prevent skin lesions, relieves itching, allergic reactions and dandruff, and has a generally positive effect on coat and hoof growth.

Horses with equine metabolic syndrome also profit from hemp's low sugar content and its positive effects on metabolism of fats and sugars.

Administer daily over a period of at least 2 to 3 weeks. The dosage may be temporarily doubled for acute cases.

We recommend feeding your horse hemp seeds 48 hours before a tournament. Please consult the FN's current Anti-Doping and Drug Control Directive (ADMR).
